While staying at Steve and Jen’s house in South Plainfield, we decided to head over to Dunellen.  It was
a single old school movie theater with a bar conveniently attached.  The only problem with this is that you
don’t really have a choice in what movie you see.  You watch whatever is playing this week.  Of course
this week it was “Hoodwinked”, the children’s movie.  As long as there was beer though, we didn’t really
care too much.

The deal at the door was unbelievable.  $22 got me two tickets, a large pizza and a pitcher of beer.  The
pitchers were all normal size too.  I’ve been to some bars that give you those tiny crappy pitchers.  We
started off with two pitchers of Yuengling, but that didn’t last very long, so I had to make a few more trips
to the bar during the film.  Refills were only about $6 or so.  Sweet!  The pizza wasn’t the best, but it
wasn't too shabby either and the price was right.  They have a menu full of all sorts of other bar goodies
as well.  Steve and Jen got wings and stuff.

In the theater, we sat upstairs to the balcony.  Basically, they took out every other row of seats or so and
put in tables.  There were a lot of kids around and even a birthday party a few rows back.  I had to try my
best not to be a loud vulgar cursing drunk.  Ah, I’m sure they’ll get over it.  It’s nothing they won’t learn in
health class in a few years.  Even though it was kids movie, it wasn’t bad.  Or maybe I was just so
impressed by the fact that I was getting loaded in a movie theater while eating pizza and stuff that I really
didn’t care what was playing.

After the movie was over, we hung out at the bar for a little while.  It was a decent sized bar and the
drinks were all pretty cheap there.  Their clientele seemed mostly like locals.  Even if there wasn’t a
movie playing, it seemed like a nice local watering hole with cheap drinks, where you could just come to
hang out once in a while.  When we finally left, it was snowing like crazy.  The roads were a mess and the
wind was strong as hell.  This was probably a good thing however.  When I swerved around the road I
could blame the ice and not the beer.

Good Point about the bar: There were a lot of good points about the bar.  It was cheap and I got to watch
a movie.

Bad Point about the bar:  Trying to find a parking spot was a pain in the ass.  If it was more crowded, I
would have been screwed.

White trash factor (1-10):  4 - This was the bar area afterwards, not the theater.

Ratio of girls to guys:  1:1 (note: most of them were under the age of 12)

Crowd density:  medium

Age of the crowd:  6-40

Overall rating:  8 – The bar was a lot of fun.  I think if it was closer I would be here every weekend.  They
don't only show kids movies either.  They play whatever movies come out.
