Landmark Americana Tap & Grill
1 Mullica Hill Rd
Glassboro, 08028
(856) 863-6600

It's the Thursday before the Super Bowl and Eagles fever has hit southern New Jersey.
This is good, because nothing goes better together than football and drinking.
Everyone in the Landmark was wearing some sort of Eagles or Philadelphia gear and a
DJ from the radio station 94 WYSP, was giving away prizes to people who answered
trivia questions about either football or sex.  Apparently those were the only two
categories that would keep people interested enough to participate.  Some people
went so far as to don cheese steaks on their heads.

I wanted to order a pitcher of beer for the table, but they don't serve beer by the
pitcher there.  No, they serve beer in these giant towers with their own taps!  They
each hold at least ten beers, probably more and cost about $25 for Yuengling, which
actually isn't bad if you're in a group (or you're me).  Tami and her brother started
drinking Alabama slammers, which is usually bad news right there.  I of course made
fun of him, as any heterosexual guy would.  After a few towers of beer however, I
started drinking them as well, little umbrella's and all.  For some reason the drunker I
get, the less shame I have.

The bar itself is pretty big and their are tables in both the bar and a dining area, so you
can come here for dinner if you like.  The food is standard burger and hot sandwich
type fair, but it is good.  The atmosphere was a little too bright for me, but it was
pleasant and nice.  There is a club next door called "The Spot", which was kind of dead
when we went in to check it out, but it was only a Thursday night.  On Saturdays I've
heard it gets much busier.  Glassboro is the home of Rowan University and the bar had
a decent number of college students there.  Many of the college students hang out at
The Main Street Tavern, which is down the street.  Most of the townies hang out at
Caesars Lounge down the street the other way.  The Landmark is a mixture of the two.

Good Point about the bar:  Giant towers of beer as well as attractive waitresses!

Bad Point about the bar:  The ratio of girls to guys was very low.

White trash factor (1-10):  6

Ratio of girls to guys:  1/4

Crowd density:  Medium

Age of the crowd: 20's to late 30's

Overall rating:  7

The giant towers of beer made the entire bar.  While it wouldn't be a crappy bar, it
would just be average without the beer towers.

Here is a picture of the tower of beer.
PJ wearing a cheese steak hat.
Tami and I after far too many beers and at least 5 Alabama Slammers
Here is a pic of Tami's brother Jesse hugging the bouncer, who I would estimate to
be at least 8' tall.
Here is a pic of the outside.
