February 4, 2005

Tami’s birthday was on Monday and my birthday was on Tuesday, so I have been partying quite a bit this entire
week.  To cap off the week, we went to the Bon Jovi concert at Boardwalk Hall in AC on Saturday night.
Besides the concert there was a boat show going on, so the city was packed.

The first thing we did when we got there is head for the beer stands.  As expected, it was $6 for a plastic pint of
Budweiser.  There really wasn’t a line, so that was cool.  After watching the opening band, Ike, we needed some
more beers, so I headed back out to the beer cart.  The line for beer was now insane.  When I got the end, the
girl in front of me on line had two pints of beer in her hand.  She figured that by the time she got up to the front,
she would need two more, and she was right.  She was a woman after my own heart.  The line was so long that
anarchy started breaking out.  People started yelling at the bar tender because he was going too slow.  After
about a half hour, I got a bunch of beers and headed back to the concert just as it was starting.

The concert was great.  Our seats were pretty close.  I was surrounded by women who all wanted to tear Bon
Jovi’s clothes off.  Every time he hugged a girl or touched a girl in the audience all of the women around me
would call them whores, sluts and bitches.  I was a little shocked.  The true competitive nature of women came
out.  Tami was giddy like a 14 year old school girl.  When he took his jacket off and revealed a tank top, I
thought she was going to have a break down.  It was too much for her to handle.  At one point, during Bad
Medicine, I thought Bon Jovi was having a seizure.  Apparently that was just the way he dances.  He dances sort
of like me.  The difference is, when I dance women laught at me.  When Bon Jovi does it they go wild.

After the concert we went to the Irish Pub for a few post concert beers.

I got some decent pics of the concert.
At this point he came into the crowd to sing.  Here is a picture of his back.
